Star Wars: Episode VIII Title Possibly Revealed

While Lucasfilm and Disney are still focused on promoting Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, fans are already excited to know more details about Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII, which is set to release almost exactly a year from today. We're also hoping to see an Episode VIII teaser attached with Rogue One this month, but the chance seems to be slim as the title for it hasn't been revealed yet.

But thanks to AVS Forums, that might soon change. AVS Forums revealed they've discovered that Lucasfilm and Disney submitted a new trademark filing to the European Union Intellectual Property Office.

So what is the title of the sequel to The Force Awakens?

Get ready! According to the report, Episode VIII will be titled Star Wars: The Forces of Destiny.

Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet until Lucasfilm has announced the title. I't hopeing m justhat it's not the actual title since I think it sounds ridiculously cheesy. Having the word "force" again just makes it redundant. If this ends up being true, would you be a fan of the title?

Star Wars: Episode VIII will hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
