Star Wars: Episode VIII Title Possibly Leaked on Reddit

For a while now, there had been rumors that the Star Wars: Episode VIII is Space Bear. The name was seen in Mark Hamill's recent behind-the-scenes Instagram post as well as Carrie Fisher's not so recent tweet from the set. However, a new image has surfaced via Reddit and Facebook showing a different name for the film – Tale of the Jedi Temple.

While this new photo appear to be a plausible title for the 2017 film, there are those that say the image is simply for promotional purposes for the date of the revelation of the real title on May 4 (May The 4th Be With You). There's also the possibility that Tale of the Jedi Temple has been created by a fan.

Between Space Bear and Tale of the Jedi Temple, I could see how the latter looks to be a more legit title for the highly anticipated film. The last scene from Star Wars: The Force Awakens featured Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Rey (Daisy Ridley) exchanging a meaningful look atop a hill in Ahch-To. The title could very well mean the beginning of Rey's training with the Master Jedi at the Jedi Temple. It also supports rumors that Episode VIII will have key scenes related to the first Jedi Temple. I also have a feeling that Space Bear is simply the code name for the yet to be named film.

At this point, anything is possible, but until the studios confirm anything, we'll just have to wait for any details on Star Wars: Episode VIII.

The film is slated for release on December 16, 2017.

What do you think about this possible title for Episode VIII?
