Star Wars: Episode VIII Official Title Finally Revealed


The official title for Star Wars: Episode VIII has finally been revealed. Its official title is called Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Starwars.com announced the title on Monday morning.

This isn't one of the rumored titles previously reported. Check out the image from Lucasfilm below:

"The Last Jedi" is most likely referring to Luke Skywalker, and it looks like the film will center on Rey's training with him. Rey could also be "The Last Jedi" as she learns the ways of the Force from the Jedi Master.

The teaser for the film might arrive sometime soon, but Kathleen Kennedy previously said that promotion for the film will begin this Spring.

The film is directed by Rian Johnson. Star Wars: Episode VIII will hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
