Star Wars: Episode IX’s Working Title Linked To Yoda’s Quote About The Force And Luminosity

It looks like everyone's ready to look forward to the next Star Wars movie now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi's had a successful opening weekend.

Star Wars: Episode IX might not be due next year, but it seems like news about the next Star Wars installment's production have started to make the rounds online.

According to Fantha Tracks,Episode IX is going to proceed under the working title "Black Diamond," a project that's being produced under business name Carbonado Industries (UK) Ltd. The business was originally intended for the production of Solo: A Star WarsStory (Carbonado being a reference to Han's carbonite freezing), however, it seems like it's being passed on to Episode IX.

For those who aren't familiar with the gem, Black Diamond is a common name for Carbonado, the toughest form of the natural diamond. Carbonado is a gem known for its luminosity, a word which Yoda uses to describe living things in The Empire Strikes Back.

"For my ally is the Force, and a powerful ally it is," Yoda tells Luke in the film. "Life creates it, makes it grow. Its energy surrounds us and binds us. Luminous beings are we, not this crude matter. You must feel the Force around you. Here, between you, me, the tree, the rock, everywhere! Yes, even between the land and the ship."

We can't help but wonder whether we might get to see Yoda again in Episode IX, seeing how Carbonado's luminosity plays a part in the film's working title. It's definitely going to take some time, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is currently screening in cinemas.
