Star Wars Episode IX: Greg Grunberg Travelling to London to Shoot Next Week

We met Poe Dameron's X-Wing squadron back in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, but they were nowhere to be seen in The Last Jedi. Good news is, Snap Wexley and the rest are coming back for Episode IX, and Greg Grunberg gives an update on his role.

During an appearance at Fairfax Comic-Con (via Reddit), Grunberg confirmed that he would be going off to London next week to work on Episode IX. He didn't really give away anything else, but it's just cool to see that we're going to see more X-Wing pilots other than Poe.

Grunberg plays the role of Snap Wexley in Star Wars, a son of a Rebel Alliance pilot who ended up flying ships for the Resistance. After the attack on the New Republic by the First Order, Snap and fellow pilot Jess Pava were tasked by Leia to find any surviving commanders of the New Republic.

Snap actually has a lot of adventures under his belt thanks to the new expanded universe. I'm just crossing my fingers that we get to see him in an expanded role come Episode IX—Lieutenant Connix had her share of the spotlight. How about Snap and the other X-Wing pilots?

Star Wars Episode IX comes out Dec. 20, 2019.
