Star Wars: Episode IX: Dominic Monaghan Start Work On 'Best Job Ever'

Dominic Monaghan has officially begun filming for Star Wars: Episode IX and you really can't blame the guy for being excited. The former Lost star made sure he started his day right with a fitting Instagram post.

Monaghan was previously confirmed to join the cast of Episode IX, which will reunite him with Lost co-creator J.J. Abrams. The Lord of the Rings actor announced on his official Instagram account that he will begin work by posting a Darth Vader mug with the most excited caption possible. Check out his post below.

You can't find a more accurate description. Many actors and fans can only dream about being a part of the Star Wars franchise. Monaghan is truly lucky to be a part of the team that already includes Abrams, Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, and John Boyega.

We're all excited for Monaghan but people are still wondering what role he will play in the highly anticipated sequel. There have been speculations that the Mute star could play a minor character while others believe he might portray someone important in the Resistance. We'll have to wait until more details surface later this year.

Monaghan isn't the only one who has already started work on Episode IX. Former Doctor Who star Matt Smith has reportedly filmed a few scenes for the movie. However, it is unclear if the two actors will appear in a scene together or if they interacted with any of the returning stars.

Star Wars: Episode IX is still scheduled for release on December 20, 2019.
