Star Wars Battlefront II Roadmap Leak Teases Brand New Clone Wars Content


DICE might not have revealed the details about what to expect from Star Wars Battlefront II as 2018 draws to a close, but it looks like a newly leaked roadmap has a managed to make its way online and it looks like a lot of exciting new content is on its way.

Someone leaked out Star Wars Battlefront II's new roadmap on Reddit, and it looks like gamers are going to get an improved squad system, a new hero, and a new map.

Here are some of the road map's details:

Improved Squad System (September)

According to the leak, there's a new squad system ready for September. The system which will be set up in the game's Galactic Assault, Skirmish and Smash modes will allow Star Wars Battlefront II gamers to reappear near their squad members during the game, a method designed to help encourage team play.

General Grievous (October)

General Grievous was one of the very first heroes announced by EA Play and the villain is set to make his debut in October this year. "The general of the droid army will join his confreres on the dark side, with the intention of adding Jedi lightsabers to his collection."

Obi-Wan Kenobi And Geonisis (November)

November is all about Obi-Wan Kenobi. Coming in to put a stop to General Grievous and his plans, Obi-Wan Kenobi is set to debut in Battlefront II's newest Galactic Assault map, Geonosis. Also made available in November, Geonosis is a location which has been known to be the "major theater of the Clone Wars conflict."

Count Dooku, Anakin Skywalker and Etc (December)

Count Dooku is going to made available when December hits this year, joining the Guard of Coruscant, the elite division of clone soldiers that were originally meant to maintain peace on the capital planet of the Republic, Coruscant. Anakin Skywalker is also set to make his debut during this month.

But that's not all.DICE will also be introducing its new non-linear sandbox mode where two teams can compete for the possession of control points that will help destroy their enemy's admiral vessels.

The roadmap released on Reddit is pretty detailed and the alleged plans for Star Wars Battlefront II sound pretty exciting. However, gamers ought to be warned to take the report with a grain of salt. After all, DICE has yet to make the news official.

Star Wars Battlefront II is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
