The upcoming Star Wars standalone films were first called Star Wars Anthology when Lucasfilm and Disney first officially announced them, but at the D23 Expo, they've revised Anthology to A Star Wars Story, so all future standalone Star Wars films will include that subtitle, like the first one: Gareth Edwards' film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
During the presentation, Disney revealed the new graphic of A Star Wars Story (shown above). I think the new name is more versatile for future standalone films. Anthology may be confused as a whole series of its own. A Star Wars Story, however, could easily label any Star Wars standalone film they could come up with, without making it seem like it's a part of a connecting series.
