Star Trek Is Reportedly Getting Four Exciting New Television Series


There's a lot of big news for Star Trek fans today. CBS just recently announced a new deal with Alex Kurtzman, the co-creator of the new Star Trek show, Star Trek: Discovery. Kurtzman and his production banner, Secret Hideout, have been both been brought onboard to help expand the Star Trek franchise in television.

Now, it looks like we have the first few rumored details of four new Star Trek television series currently in development.

According to a report by Variety, CBS' deal with Kurtzman includes the development of a few new projects including a new Star Trek series, a mini-series, and "other content opportunities" for the network.

These new details about the projects included in Kurtzman'sdeal is a limited series about the villain Khan Noonien Singh, a Starfleet Academy television series from Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the co-creators of the Hulu television series Marvel's Runaways, as well as an animated series with secret plot details.

All these different shows sound like exciting updates for Star Trek fans. It's been a while since we've gotten a new series other than Star Trek: Discovery, and it looks like new Star Trek projects are popping left and right. However, fans should be reminded that these projects are simply rumors and should be taken with a grain of salt.
