Stan Lee Wheelchair-bound During Black Panther Premiere

The hearts of Comic book fans everywhere started feeling heavy when it was revealed that Stan Lee was wheelchair-bound during the red carpet premiere of Black Panther. Lee is a legend in the comic industry, creating many characters for Marvel, including Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Avengers, and Black Panther, just to name a few. It's fair to say that fans are concerned with Lee's health.

A picture of Stan smiling with fans in his wheelchair was shared by the official Twitter account of Marvel Studios. Fans that saw it immediately voiced their concern and hoped that the man was healthy. Some fans made jokes to lighten the mood, wondering if he was auditioning to play as Professor X in the inevitable X-Men reboot, but that didn't really shake away any fears.

Lee has made cameos in every MCU installment since the first Iron Man film in 2008. He has also appeared in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and Marc Webb's Amazing Spider-Man films not to mention his various X-Men appearances, which are a bit inconsistent but plentiful nonetheless. Kevin Feige previously hinted that Lee's future cameos have been filmed in advance

Here's hoping Lee has more years ahead of him. Black Panther comes out next month on February 16.
