Stan Lee Reveals What He Thinks About Marvel Getting Rights Back To X-Men and Fantastic Four

Earlier this year at Wizard World Nashville, Stan Lee predicted that Marvel would eventually get the movie rights for X-Men and Fantastic Four. Here's what Stan Lee said at the September 2017 event (via comicbook.com):

"Sooner or later, they're going to get the rights back to all our characters. They're working on it, and they're still making X-Men movies and stuff. Don't worry about it. You'll get more Marvel superheroes than you'll have time to look at in the next few years."

It didn't take long before Stan Lee's prediction came true after Disney purchased 20th Century Fox earlier this month. If you want to know what Stan Lee thinks about Marvel Studios getting X-Men and Fantastic Four back, here's what he said while speaking to Newsarama:

"A truly great piece of news! Now characters such as the X-Men and the Fantastic Four can come home to the place where they belong. It's vitally important to have the Marvel characters under one roof. And now, as great as they were before, I can't wait to see the wonders that will unfold!"

Of course, millions of Marvel fans feel the same way. It's just sad that this happened after Hugh Jackman retired from playing his iconic Wolverine role. Hopefully, he'll return to play the mutant by the time the character is introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We're excited to see characters like Galactus, Silver Surfer, and Deadpool interact with the Avengers or Guardians of the Galaxy. I wouldn't be surprised if we actually see one of the X-Men characters appear in a post-credits scene of an MCU film next year.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to release in theaters on May 4, 2018; Deadpool 2 hits theaters June 1, 2018; X-Men: The Dark Phoenix will be out November 2, 2018.
