Spock And Kirk Stand With The Rebels In Cool Star Wars/Star Trek Mash-Up Art By Alex Ross

Alex Ross is probably one of the most influential artists in modern comics today, and there's a good chance that you've seen a comic with his signature style. With Star Wars and Star Trek getting some renewed interest recently, Ross has shared this cool mash-up piece that brings the two franchises together.

Check it out:

At first I was wondering why Kirk and McCoy were kind of see-through, then I realized that they're actually beaming into the Death Star with the Enterprise clearly seen in the background. As always, Alex Ross makes everything look pretty awesome.

With the ongoing debate about which franchise is better, a lot of fans have come to the conclusion that it's okay to love both Star Wars and Star Trek. The two clearly have an influence on each other as they've evolved throughout the years, and J.J. Abrams probably wouldn't have landed the Force Awakens gig if he didn't work on the Star Trek reboot first.

As of now, the two franchises are alive and kicking—Star Wars with its sequel trilogy and anthology movies, and Trek with its promising new series, Star Trek: Discovery. It wouldn't make sense for the two to cross-over at all, but everyone loves a fun mash-up; and one from Alex Ross no less.
