Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Tom Holland Dishes Out on Miles Mentorship

Peter Parker is the newest Avenger in the gang—if you can even call him that for now, pre-Spider-Man: Homecoming. But if it were up to Tom Holland, he would be mentoring another Spider-Man in the future of the MCU franchise.

Speaking to a press junket (via Screen Rant), Holland mentioned that he would someday want to see his character as Peter Parker to mentor someone like Miles Morales:

"That would be something that I would be very up for doing, it's something that I would really, really hope to happen. I think Miles Morales is a great character, I think it would be fantastic to have an actor of color playing a superhero on screen and I just think it's going to be something very cool and something very exciting for this universe."

Of course, this doesn't really confirm in any way that Miles will assume the web-slinger position in the MCU. It does hark to the growing excitement and buzz among fans of the possibility, especially since the MCU and Marvel in general has been introducing a lot more live-action adaptations of superheroes and villains.

For now, fans can still enjoy some Miles Morales onscreen, albeit via the much-awaited animated Spider-Man movie featuring Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Live Schreiber as the main unnamed villain, and Peter Ramsey and Bob Persichetti as directors, and set to release in 2018.
