Can't wait to see Spider-Man: Homecoming in theaters this week?
If you're having the bad case of unbearable waiting and happen to have a VR headset at the ready, then you may want to get your hands on the Spider-Man: Homecoming VR experience.
At the very least, you can pretend to be the webslinger with the new program, and best of all, it's available for download at no cost. The official Steam page touts the free game, and specifies the necessary specs to run it on your system.
Players will need Windows 10 or higher, with an Intel Cor i5 or higher processor, 8GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX 970 or greater graphics, and 2100 MB available storage space. You would also need either the HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift headsets to run it, and tracked motion controllers to get through the game.
Fans have already tried out the game, and it's currently receiving mixed reviews. One issue that fans have is that it's a very short demo at 10 minutes, with the shortness of the experience being a major turnoff for some fans.
Others saw potential in the experience, with the possibility of exploring a lengthier run that's outside a promotional material experience. That said, it is touted as a VR experience and not a game, so expecting a full-fledged one from it may be a wrong start anyway.
