When the next string of Spider-Man movies was announced, it had been likened to Harry Potter in a sense that each movie will be taking place within a year of Peter Parker's life. With the Homecoming sequel set to hit theaters after Avengers: Infinity War, the movie is said to take place during Peter Parker's junior year.
In an interview with io9, Kevin Feige confirms that the next Spider-Man sequel will see Peter Parker try to ease back into high-school after the events of Infinity War and Avengers 4. He says:
"It was purposefully done like this… Like how the events of Captain America: Civil War impacted Peter as he was dropped off by Tony and expected to go back to continue his sophomore year, how the hell are the events of Infinity War and Untitled [Avengers] going to affect him as he, yes, goes back to his junior year?"
With Holland set to star in a new Spider-Man trilogy, I'm guessing it's safe to assume that the third movie will have us exploring Peter's final year in high school. That being said, it puts the timeline of the whole Infinity War debacle within just one year:

Part of me was hoping we would actually see Peter grow-up gradually within the movies; Homecoming covering high-school, the sequel going to college, and the third movie having Peter turn into a full-fledged adult. I guess part of my concern is also the fact that the actors can't pull off high-school students forever. Then again, it did work for the guys at Harry Potter.
No official release date has been announced for the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, but we can catch Homecoming this July 7 in theaters.
