Spider-Man: Homecoming Director Promises Fans That Trailers And Promos Aren’t Spoiling The Movie

Marvel had a pretty heavy marketing campaign for Spider-Man: Homecoming and while most fans are pretty psyched to see Tom Holland return to the big screen as New York's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, others have been complaining that the studio's numerous trailers and TV spots have been spoiling the movie.

Now that the film is swinging into cinemas a few days from now, Homecoming director Jon Watts assures fans in an interview with Den of Geek that the trailers and teasers won't be spoiling anything in the movie.

"Well, if it was up to me, I wouldn't have revealed anything. Ever. Like, I wish my movie could be just, only, a series of complete surprises. But I can say that there's still a lot more to be revealed than what's in the trailers. You know, we've made a pretty dense movie. A lot happens. So, yeah, there's more to it than just what you see in the trailers, for sure."

Well, Watts must be right, because early reviews for the film have been pretty great and Homecoming has recently been certified as fresh by Rotten Tomatoes. If so, fans are in for a hell of a ride once the movie finally makes its way to the big screen.

Spider-Man: Homecoming premieres on July 7.
