Spider-Man: Homecoming: Check Out Peter Parker's Lyrics For Spider-Man's Theme Song

With Spider-Man's long history, so many elements of the character have cemented themselves in pop culture — one of which is the theme for the classic Spider-Man cartoon. Apparently, Spider-Man: Homecoming will be calling back to the song, and Peter Parker will have written down the lyrics himself.

Tom Holland Source posted a portion of the lyrics from the Spider-Man: Homecoming Tokyo Event:

As you can see, the lyrics don't exactly match up to the one from the show, but they can easily fit in to the melody. What I'm curious about is why Peter would actually write his own theme song. Did someone else write it for him? Is he playing it in a rock show ala The Ramones? Either way, I'm excited to see how it fits in the story.

Just for perspective, here's the Ramones' punk version of the song:

And here's the original theme:

Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, young Peter Parker (Tom Holland) returns home to live with his Aunt May. Under the watchful eye of mentor Tony Stark, Parker starts to embrace his newfound identity as Spider-Man. He also tries to return to his normal daily routine -- distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just a friendly neighborhood superhero. Peter must soon put his powers to the test when the evil Vulture emerges to threaten everything that he holds dear.

Spider-Man: Homecoming hits theaters July 7.
