Special Look at The Incredibles II Drops Tomorrow

With a release set for June, it would make sense that Disney Pixar would want to start marketing for The Incredibles II. Apparently a huge reveal is being teased for tomorrow's Olympics, and a short preview has been released involving little Jack-Jack.

Based on some of the promos, it looks like the sequel will kick-off just where the first movie ended, with the family fighting the supervillain called The Underminer. The official synopsis is also as follows:

In 'Incredibles 2,' Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of "normal" life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack — whose superpowers are about to be discovered.

Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don't shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That's what makes this family so Incredible.

With the first movie capping off so nicely, I wonder if this sequel is going to end up better or fizzle out just like Finding Dory. Hopefully director Brad Bird has something better planned for the film. Maybe it could even have commentary on the vast amounts of superhero films we're getting every year.

Besides the returning cast, we have Better Call Saul's Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks voicing Winston Deavor and Rick Dicker (respectively). We also have Catherine Keener playing Evelyn Deavor and Sophia Bush playing a new hero named Voyd.

The Incredibles II comes out June 15, 2018.
