Spawn Creator Todd McFarlane Visits Stan Lee

An era has ended for many, as it was recently announced that Stan Lee would no longer do autograph sessions for the foreseeable future. He is 93 after all so it was only a matter of time before Lee retired from doing this and it's actually admirable how long the Marvel icon kept on going. Still, that doesn't mean he won't be in anything goofy as his recent picture with friend Todd McFarlane shows.

The Spawn creator decided to visit Lee in his home and shared a humorous picture of the Spider-Man co-creator looking grumpy and holding a sign saying "why is he here?" It's not the funniest thing in the world but when you consider everything Stan has been through this past year, this is a pretty big positive thus far.

2018 has been a pretty chaotic year for Stan "The Man" Lee. Lee at one point was reported as a victim of elder abuse and had plenty of money stolen from him, among other things. There was even a bizarre incident where people used his blood and made signatures to Black Panther comics, which was disgusting.

Seeing Lee and McFarlane having a jokey good time is nice. Maybe it will lead to Lee having a Spawn cameo? Either way, seeing the Marvel legend in high spirits is always a good thing.
