Sophie Turner Speaks Up On Sansa’s Final Confrontation With Ramsay And Her “First [Spoiler]”

While Game of Thrones Season 6, Episode 9 finally led up to the moment that all fans have been waiting for, which is Ramsay's brutal death, it's also a moment which Sansa Stark actress Sophie Turner has been anticipating – Sansa's first kill.

Finally, after seemingly portrayed as a weakling in the past 5 seasons, being passed around from one husband to the next, Sansa finally accepts that no one can protect her, but she is doing her damned best to get revenge on the man that hurt her the most. Viewers saw Sansa's satisfaction in killing Ramsay herself, and fans and Sophie Turner join in that delight.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 20-year-old actress shares her thoughts on that "amazing" scene. She said:

It was amazing! I really loved the idea of the Battle of the Bastards. And I was loving the idea of Jon killing Ramsay. But then I was like, no, Sansa needs her first kill and it has to be Ramsay. No one else but her. And when he basically says, ‘He's yours.' I'm like, ‘Yes!' She leaves him for dead, walks away doesn't even watch him die. It's such a great scene, so well written, and it's so great to be able to have my first kill.

Clearly, Sansa will never be able to get Ramsay's abuse out of her system. The character had imprinted on her already, but it doesn't mean that oh-so-sweet revenge doesn't help her heal. Speaking on how Ramsay changed Sansa forever, Turner said:

Definitely. It shows when she sees him in this scene. With Joffrey it was different. He was a little boy and he was so angry at her all the time. Whereas with Ramsay there would be serenity, and then he would be such a bastard – in every sense of the word. He just gets under her skin, and he violated her in such a terrible way. He's imprinted on her, mentally and physically. She can never get that part of her back again.

Sansa has been right all along. Jon Snow fell into Ramsay's trap, but it looks to have been fate that he didn't heed Sansa's opinion. In the end, it's Sansa's doing that they got back Winterfell. We couldn't agree more with Turner. The episode is exceptionally well written, we can only imagine how things will turn out when Episode 10 airs on Sunday.
