Sonic The Hedgehog Movie Getting Deadpool Composer and Summer Filming Date?

Now that the live-action/CGI hybrid Sonic the Hedgehog movie is coming out next year, fans have been curious as to who will be in it and when it will start shooting. The fact that it's a mix of different filmmaking techniques makes it interesting, though everyone is hoping that the film does not end up like The Smurfs.

According to Omega Underground, the film might start shooting this July and its musical score could come from composer Junkie XL.

Reports claim that director Jeff Fowler is hoping to shoot the film on Atlanta, Georgia by July. Tim Miller's Blur Studio is expected to handle the animation for the CGI parts of the film.

Junkie XL left Deadpool 2 as a sign of respect to original director Tim Miller, who will be one of the producers for Sony's Sonic film. While XL's involvement isn't a sure thing yet, rumors claim that there are rumblings that it could happen.

Sonic video games - even the bad ones - are known for their awesome soundtracks, so the film has a lot of expectations to live up to. Songs like Escape from the City, Live and Learn, Sonic Boom, and recently, Fist Bump, have been quite popular with fans. Considering how XL has worked on films like the original Deadpool and Mad Max: Fury Road, he should be a good fit for this project.

Sonic the Hedgehog is slated for a November 15, 2019, release.
