Solo: A Star Wars Story Scribe Confirms That He’s Writing The Script For Indiana Jones 5

Last week, word came out that Solo: A Star Wars Story screenwriter Jonathan Kasdan was taking over as scriptwriter of Indiana Jones 5.

The news came as quite as a surprise to many because ever since 2016, David Koepp had been attached as the screenwriter of the Indiana Jones sequel. The sixth most successful screenwriter of all time, Koepp has achieved critical and commercial success in quite a number of different genres in Hollywood. He's also worked on a number of films along with Indiana Jones director Steven Spielberg.

Taking to Twitter, a fan decided to ask Kasdan whether he was really taking over as the screenwriter of Indiana Jones 5, and this was what he tweeted back in response.

Kasdan's response was a pretty great way to confirm that he was on board the project. It's pretty assuring that one of Lucasfilm's top men is on the job, which is pretty fitting, considering that Indiana Jones 5 stars Harrison Ford, the legendary actor who plays Star Wars Han Solo.

Though Kasdan might not have as much experience as Koepp does, he has had his fair share of films. Not only did he co-write Solo: A Star Wars Story, but he also worked on films like The First Time and In The Land of Women. He also wrote episodes for the cult classic series, Freaks and Geeks. If anything, Indiana Jones 5 is in good hands.

Indiana Jones 5 doesn't have a release date just yet but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
