Solo: A Star Wars Story Reused a Shot from Rogue One

[THIS ARTICLE CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR SOLO: A STAR WARS STORY]

If Star Wars is known for anything, it's that each movie brings us to a bunch of new locations. As it turns out, one of the shots in Solo: A Star Wars Story was recycled from a teaser for Rogue One which came out a few years ago.

This was pointed out by DragonsBoat on Reddit:

We don't have any footage of the planet used in Solo, but we do have a leak of the original teaser during Star Wars Celebration 2015:

In Solo, the footage was reused to represent the planet that Lando was on when he ran into Han and Chewie again. If you'll notice, Han's greeting to him in this film is very similar to the way Lando greets him in Empire Strikes Back.

This clip wasn't the only thing Solo borrowed from Rogue One either. The movie also has an appearance by bounty hunter Tam Posla, and one of Saw Gerrera's rebels, Two Tubes, was actually a member of the Cloud Rider gang of Enfys Nest. We also see a ‘decraniated one' serving on Dryden Vos' ship.

Though Star Wars is known to be incredibly expansive, I think it's cool that we could see some returning faces and species in some movies. Lucasfilm probably can't help it since some characters look to cool to just appear in the background of one movie.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is now in theaters.
