Snowpiercer Being Adapted For TV

Bong Joon-Ho's 2013 dystopian film, Snowpiercer, is being adapted into a TV series.

Josh Friedman (Sarah Connor Chronicles, War of the Worlds) is attached to pen the script for Tomorrow Studios, which has optioned rights for the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The series will be based on the 2013 film that was directed and written by Bon Joon-Ho in his first English-language production. The film, based on the French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, is set in a post-apocalyptic Ice Age where the only remaining life on the planet survives aboard a train that travels around the globe. Bong and feature co-producer The film starred Marvel Universe's Captain America, Chris Evans. The film also starred Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, and John Hurt.

Dooho Choi are attached to executive produce alongside Adelstein and producing partner Becky Clements. Chan-wook Park, who produced the feature, is also attached as an EP.

I'm glad that one of the best science fiction films released in the past five years is getting more attention. I hope that the TV series will offer something unique. If you haven't seen the movie yet, I highly recommend you to watch it.
