Simon Pegg Says He Has No Respect For Anyone Who Likes The Star Wars Prequel Films

Star Trek Beyond star and writer Simon Pegg is a funny opinionated Star Wars fan, and by "Star Wars", I meant only the classic trilogy, not George Lucas' prequel films. His hatred for Phantom Menace even became a joke in his British comedy series, Spaced.

Pegg didn't hold back when he expressed his distaste for the prequels when he spoke to the New York Daily News:

"I don't really have any respect for anyone who thinks those films are good. They're not. (They're) a monumental misunderstanding of what the (original) three films are about. It's an exercise in utter infanticide ... (like) George Lucaskilling his kid."

Then he joked:

"Jar Jar Binks made the Ewoks look like f----g Shaft!"

I've heard several fans dissed Ewoks before, but that's nothing compared to the amount of disrespect Jar Jar Binks gets. I'm neutral about the prequels, so I don't really care if people love it or not. What do you think about Pegg's comments?
