Silver And Black Director Says They’re Still Working On The Film’s Script

It looks like the Silver and Black movie is still figuring out the script that it has to work with.

Director Gina Prince-Bythewood has just given fans a short but helpful update on the status of Sony's upcoming Spider-Man spinoff movie, Silver and Black. Though the film is definitely in the pipelines at the studio, Silver and Black is still currently at the early stages of pre-production.

Speaking with Screen Rant during Cloak and Dagger's press circuit ruin, Prince-Bythewood was asked for updates about Silver and Black. Fans were concerned when rumors started spreading that the film had been indefinitely delayed and now the director's back with an update that might help assuage fan's concern over the film. Reiterating what she Tweeted back in February, the filmmaker told the publication that right now she's focusing on getting the script right for Silver and Black.

"The update is just really pounding out the script. It all starts with the script. You gotta have a great script so we want to make sure that's right before we jump in," Prince-Bythewood explained.

Of course, we wouldn't want Prince-Bythewood to rush the film into development. Good things take time and the backbone of any great film is a good script. The filmmaker shouldn't hurry into production without a proper script in hand for Silver and Black.

Silver and Black doesn't have a release date just yet, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
