'Shazam' Director Responds To DCEU Cancellation Rumors

With Justice League failing to make a big impact in the box office, fans have been pondering about the fate of the DCEU. Several films are still planned, including Aquaman, Shazam, and a Wonder Woman sequel. However, a recent Reddit thread from a supposed insider has claimed that Warner Bros.canceling the DCEU and that the studio will take a five year break from making superhero films. This is news to Shazam Director Dave Sandberg, who had the perfect response.

In the thread, Sandberg simply said "Nobody told me. Can I take the day off tomorrow then? I really want to sleep in." The comment from Sandberg indicates that the insider is full of hot air since the post claimed that Shazam has stopped shooting, which clearly isn't the case. Warner Bros. did just cast the leads of the film after all, so the company might as well try and make some money with them.
