Shazam!: Billy Batson Actor Shares Look At The Set

Things look to be going smoothly for the DCEU's Shazam! movie, and it looks like a manner of time before we get an official look at Earth's mightiest mortal. Asher Angel will be playing the young alter-ego of Captain Marvel, Billy Batson, and he shares some photos from the set of the film.

The way it looks, these must be set-ups for some promo shots. Every movie has them to check out what the costumes look like onscreen. If we're lucky, we might even get a glimpse of this new Captain Marvel, cape and everything.

With Justice League underperforming in the box office, Warner Bros must be really racking their brains to figure out how to keep their cinematic universe on track. Sure they've announced a whole slew of upcoming films, but as it stands, only Aquaman is the DC movie scheduled for 2018.

Four movies in, and the DCEU is once again left in the dust by Marvel. Patty Jenkins did a fantastic job with Wonder Woman, but a whole cinematic universe can't rely on the success of just one character. Hopefully director David F. Sandberg comes up with a great film that will introduce Captain Marvel to a whole new generation of comic-book lovers.

Shazam! is set to release in theaters April 2019.
