Netflix has released the second trailer of The Punisher, which finally reveals the release date of the highly anticipated series. Fans won't have to wait long to see Frank Castle wage his war on criminals since the show will be premiering next month on November 17. It's worth noting that this is the same date as the Justice League movie, but it's also when Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon come out so this could be a coincidence.

The trailer itself is fairly intense, as it actually reveals how and why Frank's family was killed. It turns out he was part of a special black ops group that killed specific targets, who might have been high profile. People who were in charge of that group now want to clean up the mess they made, so they targeted Frank and his family.

It keeps the spirit of The Punisher, just switching out the mafia with a shady government group. We also see plenty of blood and gore, which is typical for a Marvel Netflix show and needed for a Punisher adaptation. Microchip and Karen Page also make an appearance, strengthening ties to the comics and the Marvel Netflix-verse in general.

After months of waiting, The Punisher will finally debut next month on November 17. Hopefully, it will be worth the wait.
