Sebastian Stan Has Talked To Hugh Jackman About Wolverine Coming To The MCU

2017 was one hell of a year with Hugh Jackman quitting the Wolverine role and Disney buying Fox. With Disney CEO Bob Iger intent on having the X-Men fuse with the MCU, Winter Soldier actor Sebastian Stan has shared that he has sat down with Jackman himself and talked about the possibility of him donning the claws once again.

Talking during the Ace Comic-Con (via Leah Walsh), Stan explains:

"Recently, I happened to be sitting next to Hugh Jackman. I didn't know what other awkward thing I could talk about, but to be like, 'Am I going to see you soon?' I don't know, but he said a couple things to me and I'll just leave it at that. Otherwise, I think I'm going to get into trouble."

As of now, nobody knows how Marvel plans to introduce mutants to the MCU, but Jackman has said before that he would be open to playing Wolverine again if he got to team-up with the Avengers.

Stan continues:

"I asked him cause I kept thinking whether or not he said Logan was supposed to be the last Wolverine thing. He said to me what's probably been said out there that he's been thinking about it and it's on his mind. So, I don't know."

Personally, if the X-Men and Fantastic Four were to come to the MCU, I would prefer if they were all rebooted. Though Jackman was a fine Wolverine, I would love to see Marvel Studios do the same thing they did with Spider-Man and have a comic-accurate Logan—a short and fiery Canadian animal.

Then again, Ryan Reynolds is already perfect for Deadpool. Maybe they can reboot the universe by saying that Deadpool has been taking place in an alternate X-universe this whole time?

We don't know when the X-Men will come to the MCU, but we do know that we'll be seeing Sebastian Stan as Winter Soldier in Avengers: Infinity War this coming May 4.
