Samuel L. Jackson Teases Nick Fury Appearance In Spider-Man: Far From Home

Could Samuel L. Jackson be pointing at an appearance in Tom Holland's next Spider-Man standalone, Spider-Man: Far From Home?

Taking to Instagram, the Marvel star decided to share a photo of Nick Fury's S.H.I.E.L.D. business card – a simple piece of paper with Fury's name above the title "Bad Motherfucker." While the photo might seem innocent enough, giving away the full name of SHIELD as well as its phone, fax, and address, Jackson's post comes with other photos that have sparked speculation that Nick Fury might appear in Spider-Man: Far From Home after Captain Marvel.

Not only does Jackson's Instagram post show off Nick Fury's calling card, it also features the character's facial hair, eye-patch, and a close-up look of the former SHIELD agent's scared face. While Marvel fans might assume that the post might have something to do with Captain Marvel, the film's production just wrapped up last week. Besides, the film is set in the 1990s, long before Nick Fury managed to injure his eye.

The closest film left? Spider-Man: Far From Home. Currently in production in London, the film is set after Avengers 4, giving room for Fury's eye-patch and scar. Fans have known for a while that Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) won't be able to appear in the Homecoming sequel and last week Benedict Cumberbatch told fans to rule out Doctor Strange. Could this leave room for Nick Fury in Far Frome Home?

Let's wait and see.

Spider-Man: Far From Home comes swinging to cinemas on July 5, 2019. Meanwhile, Marvel's latest release, Ant-Man and the Wasp is currently screening in cinemas.
