Ryan Reynolds is Going to Take Time on Deadpool 2 as Search For Cable Continues

Given the success of last year's R-Rated Deadpool film, Marvel fans would imagine that Deadpool 2 would find a quick way to get to production. However, due to creative differences between former director Tim Miller and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, the film has hit a wall in its pre-production, and many are left to wonder when exactly will the project kick off.

Unfortuntaley, in an interview with MTV News during last weekend's Golden Globe Awards, Reynold's reveals that the team is going to take their sweet time on the project.

"We're still working on it," the Deadpool 2 producer and star told the publication last Saturday. "We're not going to start until we're ready."

Miller's exit last year was a major setback for the film, and while David Leitch has stepped up to take his place in the director's seat, the production is still looking for the right star to play the part of Cable.

Aside from that, it seems like work on Deadpool 2 is going smoothly.

"Everything feels great," Reynolds said. "Everybody is seamlessly locked in to the situation. It's been really amazing."

All that's really left now for the ball to start rolling is Deadpool 2's casting. Concrete names haven't surfaced yet, however we'll hopefully get to learn about the shortlist of actors being considered for Cable's part early this year.
