Rosario Dawson Is Thinking Of Leaving Marvel TV After Luke Cage Season 2

Rosario Dawson might have become the only Marvel TV actor to cross over into the studio's other Netflix series like Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and The Defenders after debuting during the first season of Daredevil, but it looks like the actress is unsure about her future in the franchise.

Though fans are itching to know what Marvel has in store for Dawson's character, Claire Temple, in the second season of Luke Cage, the actress seems to be looking to commitments outside Marvel TV.

Speaking with fans at this year's MCM London Comic Con last weekend (via Screen Geek), Dawson said that while she's open to the possibility of appearing as Claire Temple in Marvel's many Netflix series, she would also like to be closer to her daughter who is currently studying in high school.

"I don't know if I'll be back after this, to be honest, but it's been an amazing few years. I've been on a lot of different shows. I mean, I don't know if maybe they do a third season of Luke Cage potentially, or maybe if they figure out some kind of way for me to be on The Punisher – just so I can feel like I've done every show. But it's been like, my daughter is in high school, so I kinda wanna not be 3,000 miles away for work."

Though some would want to continue to see Claire Temple crossing over Marvel's many different series, it's understandable that Dawson would want to move on and focus on her family. After all, it's difficult commuting from Los Angeles to New York. Family should come first, and if Dawson decides to leave Marvel TV for her family, we should respect her wishes. However, that doesn't mean that we're not going to miss Dawson's presence. Claire Temple was a staple in Marvel TV's many series.

Luke Cage season 2 is scheduled to drop on Netflix on June 22.
