Rogue One Prequel Comic Shows Cassian & Kaytoo History

Kaytoo, that unbelievably snarky but funny droid that we all loved in Rogue One is returning. And Cassian Andor will be tagging along. The only catch is that this will happen in a prequel comic care of Marvel.

It seems that Lucasfilm and Disney can't get enough of the droid, as the official Star Wars site confirmed that the prequel comic is coming.

"In Rogue One, we saw how Cassian Andor and K-2SO became legends of the Rebellion—and how their story ended. Now, we'll finally learn how it all began."

Titled Star Wars: Rogue One – Cassian & K-2SO, the prequel comic will be written by Duane Swierczynski and drawn by Fernando Blanco. The project is set to become a 40-page one-shot that tackles how Cassian met K-2SO given their very different backgrounds.

Cassian has always been with the Rebel Alliance as the top intelligence officers. On the other hand, Kaytoo has been reprogrammed as an imperial security droid.

I'm willing to bet that the meet-up between these two characters would not have been easy. But that's pretty much where all the nice dynamics start, and then you work from there.

Star Wars: Rogue One – Cassian & K-2SO Special #1 will be released this August from Marvel.
