Robert Zemeckis Is Being Considered To Direct The Flash

DC's Flash movie starring Ezra Miller has been going through a bunch of problems after losing two directors already. The studio is currently scrambling to find another director for the film, and one of the people being considered is none other than Back to the Future and Forrest Gump director Robert Zemeckis.

Screen Junkies had reported that Zemeckis was already in talks to direct the film, but reporter Umberto Gonzalez immediately debunked it and said that Zemeckis is just one director in a list of others. Here's his post:

Considering Zemeckis' track run, I would very much look forward to him working on The Flash. A lot of people have noticed a recent trend in Hollywood where they hire directors for their indie work and suddenly hand them these big-budget projects (e.g. Josh Trank, Colin Trevorrow, and Gareth Edwards). With Zemeckis' experience, surely he could handle the Flash movie with a bit more finesse.

Considering all the delays, no official release date has been announced for The Flash, but the movie could come out in 2020.
