Rick and Morty fans have been shriveling away while waiting for the brassy science-fiction animated comedy series to return to Adult Swim. Though series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland promised during the start of 2016 that season 3 of Rick and Morty would see release during the same year, the year passed without any information on the premiere date of the new season.
Thankfully, Adult Swim has finally announced the release date of the series in a commercial within a commercial within a commercial. Check it out down below:
The release date is disguised in an ad for Rick and Morty action figures which is set up in an alien commercial which is later on revealed to be a commercial for the series trailer. It's unsure whether the footage will be used in an episode in the series, however given Harmon and Roiland's fondness for "Intergalactic TV" commercials, it's likely that the footage would make it in the new season.
