Rick And Morty 3: An Inside Look At The Ricklantis Mix-Up

The latest episode of Rick and Morty, The Ricklantis Mix-Up, was probably one of the greatest this season, and [SPOILER] it brings back Evil Morty from the first season [END SPOILER]. Justin Roiland and his team have released a video talking about the episode and how they brought a new story focusing on the Ricks and Mortys in the citadel instead of the usual pairing of the C-137s.

With the complicated political climate today, the showrunners wanted to toss around the idea of the same thing happening in the citadel between the Ricks and the Mortys. One prevalent thing is, the Ricks are still in charge of the Mortys, and that is the main source of drama for the episode.

The Ricklantis Mixup proves to be another one of those episodes where the show goes above and beyond. Aside from the clever humor about a world just populated by Ricks and Mortys, we also get some strong underlying social drama that makes for a fun, yet emotional rollercoaster.

The way the episode ends, we're sure to see more of Evil Morty in the future, and the C-137 pair will probably have to go up against him, this time with the might of the entire Citadel of Ricks in his disposal.
