Rian Johnson Teases Favorite Character’s Cloak in Star Wars: Episode VIII Set Photo

Rian Johnson is unlike J.J. Abrams when it comes to keeping fans updated (well, sort of) on the latest happenings on the set of his Star Wars film, Episode VIII. Daisy Ridley even said back in March that the Looper filmmaker is "cheekier" than Abrams.

One of the director's favorite platforms for his reveals is his Tumblr blog, and today fans re witnessing another tease from the Episode VIII director.

Johnson shared a photo from the set of his upcoming Star Wars film, showing a brownish gray cloak on a hanger beside a boom mic and other such production equipment. It's worth noting that the cloak is placed amid a rocky background. There are many characters in the Star Wars universe which this cloak could belong to, but given the events of The Force Awakens, it's probably none other than Luke's Skywalker's, and the rocky background is highly likely to be Ahch-To, the planet where he's gone into hiding and where Rey travels to in the end of Episode VII.

Take a look:

Johnson captioned the photo "In the home stretch", which means principal photography is likely near its end. If this is true, expect promo materials like posters or even a trailer to pop out soon!
