Rian Johnson Loves Every Bit of New Fan-Made 8-Bit Trailer For The Last Jedi

There's a lot of hype surrounding Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Though Lucasfilm hasn't really revealed that much information on what's going to happen in the sequel to the Force Awakens, fans are eager to learn about what becomes of the Resistance and the First Order in the next installment in the Star Wars saga's sequel trilogy.

To pass away the time while waiting for the first official trailer of the The Last Jedi to see release, some fans have been creating their own fun Star Wars videos. One of them, an 8-bit styled fan trailer for The Last Jedi has caught the eye of Johnson himself.

Taking to Twitter, Johnson posted nothing but praise for the 8-Bit Trailer from YouTube channel JoBlo Videos.

Following the teaser trailer for The Last Jedi shot for shot, the 8-bit video mixes in everything great about classic video games – pixilated graphics, synthesized soundtracks, and the kooky dialogue boxes. Though The Last Jedi music and sequence doesn't play as well as Spider-Man: Homecoming in the 8-Bit format, it's still pretty cool to see the Star Wars teaser trailer get its own videogame treatment.

Starring Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Peter Mayhew, Andy Serkis, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong'o, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Benicio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran, and Laura Dern, Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas on December 15, 2017.
