Graham McTavish certainly has a lot on his plate right now. The former Outlander star is currently terrifying audiences as The Saint of Killers in Preacher Season 3. In addition to that, McTavish has a mysterious role in the upcoming Aquaman film.
McTavish recently spoke to Collider about The Saint of Killers' ultimate fate in the Preacher Season 3 finale. The Scottish actor, who admitted that he has been a huge fan of the Garth Ennis comic books, revealed that his character is set for a major confrontation with the Devil himself.
"The storyline progresses really with me bringing [Eugene and Hitler] back to hell to fulfill the deal that I've made with Satan," McTavish said in reference to the episode Hilter. "And then, by the end of the season, interesting things happen between myself and the Prince of Darkness."
Comic book fans are aware that The Saint of Killers and the Devil have an uneasy past. Although it was the Devil that nursed the broken man, Satan still ended up being the Saint's first victim. It will be interesting to see how McTavish's character will react when the Devil tries to change his deal with The Saint in the season finale.
McTavish might enjoy playing a comic book villain but he is somehow frustrated with all the secrecy involved in Aquaman.
"This business nowadays, it's so secretive. It's so secretive. I mean, the role in Aquaman, I had a great time doing it, but I am slightly puzzled by the level of secrecy nowadays in movies and TV and video games. I mean the number of non-disclosure agreements you have to sign even if you're just talking to someone about doing a video game, there's all that sort of stuff. It's gone to a whole new level."
He might be unable to reveal his character's identity but there is little doubt that McTavish will blow everybody's mind once his role is revealed in Aquaman.
The Preacher Season 3 finale will air on AMC on August 26. Aquaman hits theaters on December 21.
