Pokémon GO Gets New Unlockable Avatar Outfits

Pokemon GO has been doing pretty well lately. While it's not as popular as it once was, the fact that there are millions of people still playing the mobile game shows that it is a bonafide hit. The folks at Niantic have been adding plenty of new Pokemon and features regularly, sometimes attracting fans who have up on the game.

It looks like the avatars of players is the next focus, as Niantic has revealed new unlockable outfits.

Now they won't just be in the game's customize screen. Players will have to keep using the game and getting specific medals if they want these new outfits. The outfits can be achieved by receiving the Battle Boy/Girl, Jogger, and Fisherman medals.

Thankfully, these are far from the hardest medals to get. Compare this to finishing EX Raids, it's easy to see why players won't be too bothered with this. In fact, there's a good chance that most players already have these achievements.

Here's hoping that Niantic ups the fanservice in future updates and adds outfits from the games or the anime. Some players probably want their avatars to look like Ash, Brock, Misty or Team Rocket members. It's doubtful that the game will be going anywhere anytime soon, so there is hope for more outfits.
