Pokemon Sun and Moon Marshadow’s Shadowy History Revealed

When some of the other ‘mons in Pokemon Sun and Moon were being revealed, there are a few that stayed out of the spotlight until recently.

Marshadow has been one of them, but The Pokemon Company has finally lifted the veil on this very mysterious but cute ‘mon over the official website. For starters, it is a Fighting/Ghost Pokemon that's also known as the Gloomdweller Pokemon. As its name suggests, Marshadow can hide in the shadows.

It's been doing this for a while, that it's become a myth in itself. And by hiding in the shadows, Marshadow can actually steal the movements and powers.

The ‘mon is a rarity in itself, for two things. One, its combination of Fighting and Ghost makes it a first of its kind. The combination now takes away the common weakness against Psychic-type ‘mons by using Marshadow.

The other reason is that it has a special Attack known as the Spectral Thief:

"Spectral Thief is a new move that only Marshadow can learn. This move steals any stat boost that the target had, and then deals an attack it's a powerful physical move with a never-before-seen and surprising effect. Change a crisis into a chance, and victory is within your grasp!"

Marshadow also has a signature Z-Move. Dubbed as the Soul-Stealing 7-Star Strike (that's a mouthful!), the Z-Move can be used by a Marshadow who already knows Spectral Thief and possesses a Z-Crystal Marshadium Z, obtaining outside of the normal gameplay. The reveal also comes with an awesome clip below.

From the looks of it, Pokemon Sun and Moon still has some power left in its arsenal. And continuing to introduce some pretty sweet ‘mons is one way to keep its players hooked.
