Pokemon Go Reportedly Still Making $2 Million A Day

Pokemon Go is still making a crazy amount of profit, according to a new report that claims that the game is earning $2 million a day. While the game is not as big as it was back in 2016, Pokemon Go is still one of the most popular mobile games, and fans are still spending a lot of money on the game.

SensorTower reports that Pokemon Go players spend $2 million a day on the game, for a total of $1.8 billion since the game was released in 2016. The game reached the $1 billion mark in January 2017, so fans nearly spent another billion in the past year.

According to the site, players in the United States have spent the most money on the game ($607 million), followed by Japan ($500 million), then Germany at third ($96 million), followed by Great Britain ($77 million) and Taiwan ($48 million).

Pokemon Go still remains in the Top 10 apps by revenue on iPhone, ranking 9th overall for June 2018, when it grossed about $70 million worldwide.

After fans learned that the game would tie into the upcoming Pokemon: Let's Go games for the Nintendo Switch, many of them went back to the game. Also, features like raid battles, monthly mini-events, and trading give players more reasons to play Pokemon Go.
