Pokemon Go Player Reports Level 5 Raid Tests Signaling Preparation For Ultimate Raid Release

Last month word came out that Niantic was planning to bring Legendary Pokemon through its new Pokemon Go gym system's Raid mechanic, and now that the new feature's been around for a while, it seems like the game developer has started preparing the app for the ultimate raids which are likely to bring in the Legendaries.

A gamer has just recently shared a photo on the Silph Road of what is supposed to be a screenshot of an alleged Level 5 Raid test. According to the Reddit user, the test appeared on the player's Nearby Raid screen while playing near Disneyland in Southern California.

In the image is a silhouette of five Rhydon heads that represent the level of the Raid and underneath that a caption and the silhouette of the Raid boss which seems to be a Flareon.

Check it out down here:

While some gamers would be disappointed that the silhouette shows a Flareon and not a Legendary Pokemon, it's understandable that Niantic would probably try to hide the nature of these test Raids while they continue preparing the ultimate raids for release. The company wouldn't want to have a lot of fuss during testing and is probably waiting for the opportune moment to announce the arrival of the Legendaries.
