Pokemon Go Might Hold Off on Unleashing More Legendary Pokemon

Pokemon Go has recently unleashed Legendary Pokemon in the wild, and now, the game might be holding off on unleashing more Legendary Pokemon. A recent update to Pokemon Go's GAME_ MASTER file (which holds vital information for all Pokemon and stats) has erased the base capture rates for Ho-Oh, Entei, Suicune, Mewtwo, and Raikou while Zapdos's base capture rate is still at 3%, Pokemongohub.net reports.

A 0% base capture rate means that the creature cannot be caught within the game. The changes indicate that Pokemon Go might be holding off additional Legendary Pokemon after August 14, which is the day Zapdos is scheduled to depart the game.

Pokemon Go recently updated the base capture rates of all Legendary Pokemon to 2% and adjusted the capture rates for Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno to 3% after announcing that each Pokemon will only be available for a week.

Changes to the GAME_MASTER file doesn't necessarily mean that the game is holding off its Pokemon. Niantic can easily adjust the base capture rates in an instant. We can only speculate for now so we'll just have to wait if the changes will have an effect in the following days.
