Pocket Morty’s Gets Multiplayer Mode And Other New Updates

There's a lot of good news for Rick and Morty fans this month. Not only is the third season of the brassy science fiction comedy series premiering later this month, but it looks like the series' weird Pokemon-like spin-off mobile game Pocket Mortys is getting a bunch of new updates as well.

Adult Swim Games has just recently detailed the future of PocketMorty's in a recent press release (via Comicbook), announcing that the updates will come rolling in on Sunday, July 23.

"Pocket Mortys comes alive with real time content updates starting Sunday, July 23, with the weekly release of all-new avatars based on season three episodes of Rick and Morty for fans to collect including: Commander Rick, Judge Morty, Summer, Tinkles, Scary Terry, Ants in My Eyes Johnson, and many more.

"The game lets players assemble the best team of Mortys to train and battle each other in the delight of the consul of Ricks. Now with Pocket Mortys multiplayer, fans can battle each other across new dimensions putting their Morty training skills to the ultimate test while collecting dozens of new Mortys and avatars."

Following the style of the popular Pokemon videogames, Pocket Mortys allows gamers to collect different Mortys and train them to become "the very best, like no one ever was." The only difference is that gamers get a bunch of weird Rick and Morty characters. Now with the new update on its way it looks like Pocket Mortys is going to heat up with its new features.

Rick and Morty season 3 premieres on July 30, 2017 on Adult Swim.
