Patty Jenkins On Whether Lynda Carter Will Make A Cameo In Wonder Woman 2

Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is already signed on to do the sequel for the film, and Wonder Woman 2 is set for a release late 2019. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, she talks about giving a cameo appearance to original Wonder Woman Lynda Carter, and a possible role for her in the sequel.

When asked about a possible cameo from Carter, Jenkins explained:

"We'll see. Lynda is one of the dearest people to us, has been a great mentor and dear friend. And we actually desperately tried to get her in the first one and we had the scheduling that couldn't work, so she's always been a part of our Wonder Woman family. We won't say anything yet, but we certainly—there's no lack of trying."

The DC films are chockfull of Easter Eggs and cameo appearances that I can see Carter appearing at any point in the franchise. It's a damn shame her schedule can't match up to the production since it would be amazing to see her onscreen with our new Wonder Woman Gal Gadot.

As for Wonder Woman 2, Jenkins promises that it will be a completely different movie compared to the first Wonder Woman. Whereas the first film was a classic superhero origin story, hopefully the sequel will be another interesting period piece for Diana to add in her immortal lifetime.

The Wonder Woman sequel is set for a release on Nov. 1, 2019.
