Patrick Stewart Wants To Be In Quentin Tarantino's Star Trek Movie

Besides playing Professor X, Patrick Stewart is best known for portraying Star Trek: The Next Generation's Jean-Luc Picard. Though it seems that Stewart has already put the Trek franchise behind him, it seems that he's willing to come back for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Star Trek project.

Talking to THR, Stewart says:

"People are always saying to me, 'Will you be Jean-Luc Picard again?' And I cannot think that would be possible, but there are ways in which something like that might come about."

… But one of my dreams is to work with Tarantino. I admire his work so much, and to be in a Tarantino film would give me so much satisfaction. So, if he is going to direct something to do with Star Trek and there was the possibility of dear old Jean-Luc showing up again and doing that for Mr. Tarantino, I would embrace it."

Very little is known about what Tarantino wants to do with the Trek franchise, but there has been speculation that he wants to adapt an Original Series Trek episode titled City on the Edge of Forever where McCoy travels to the past and alters the events accidentally to make the Nazis win World War II.

If Tarantino's movie is all about altering timelines, I could very well imagine Jean-Luc Picard appearing in one way or another. After a seasoned career of only directing his own original films, this one would be Tarantino's first foray into working on a franchise.

We still don't have that much info on Tarantino's Trek movie, but hopefully we'll get some updates early 2018.
