Original Hellboy Actress Doesn’t Want Anything To Do With The Movie’s Reboot

It seems like the leading lady of Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy movies isn't interested in Millenium's upcoming reboot starring Stranger Things David Harbour, claiming that she wouldn't have signed on to the project if she had been asked to reprise her role as Liz.

Speaking with Yahoo at the Toronto International Film Festival, Selma Blair opened up about the upcoming Hellboy reboot, saying that though the project will definitely continue, her loyalty remains with del Toro.

"My heart lies with Guillermo del Toro and his creations of it. My Hellboyworld is in Guillermo's brain and that's where it stays," the actress confidently claimed. "They'll do whatever they'll do; it'll be a totally different incarnation. My job is done."

Blair isn't the only one who's cutting themselves away from the reboot. Fans of the Hellboy movies and comicbooks have expressed disappointment in Millenium's decision not to work with del Toro and the original Unwilling Harbinger of the Apocalypse, Ron Perlman.

Del Toro had been hoping to work on Hellboy 3, but the studio wanted to reboot the franchise instead and start over. Fans are still hoping that del Toro might return to helm another Hellboy movie someday, though it seems highly unlikely now that the franchise is getting a reboot.

Hellboy is scheduled to release sometime in 2018.
