Open-World One Piece Game Coming To PS4

The 20th anniversary One Piece game has officially gotten its title and a few new details. Not too long ago, the game was announced with the code name One Piece: Dawn and that it would thrill fans to no end. Thanks to a report, we now know that the game will be called One Piece: World Seeker and it will be an open-world game, which is huge.

Moetron, a reliable source of manga and anime leaks, announced the game's new title and that it would be a dramatic, free-field, action game, essentially confirming that it's an open-world title. Yonkou Productions later added an official image from Shonen Jump. It's a video game genre that really fits the source material, considering how Monkey D. Luffy is constantly finding new places to explore and people to fight.

Prior to World Seeker, the closest One Piece had to an open-world game was One Piece: Unlimited World Red, which had Luffy find his teammates and explore a town. This game originally came out on 3DS, PS3, and PS Vita. A deluxe version of the game has since come out on PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Aside from this, most One Piece games have been fighting games like Burning Blood or brawlers like the Pirate Warriors series.

No release date for the game has been revealed, though it will probably be shown during Jump Festa 2018.
